Get Out There!
Get out there, go outside, hug a tree, talk to a plant, gaze at the clouds, jump in a puddle. Most of us played outside as kids and spent time in nature (if we were lucky) and it’s time to get our sense of childlike wonder and playful spirit back…isn’t it?
Spending relaxing unfettered time in nature is proven to lower your blood pressure, lower stress, help sleep and digestion - these are proven results! Perhaps we remember some of our childhood feelings after playing outside- exhilaration, curiosity, happiness- what if those feelings were all within reach now? Like right now!
Each of us has a connection to nature. Some of us remember it, some still nurture it, some practice it. Where ever we are currently at with our connection to nature and ourselves, we can simply go outside, slow down, notice the beauty all around us and begin to develop our sense of wonder once again.
Who knows, as a result of our mindful time in nature, perhaps our creativity will blossom, maybe we reconnect with feelings of love, joy, compassion, and self-acceptance. It’s worth a try, isn’t it?
Forest Therapy is just this. Reconnecting with our self, our senses, and nature in a slow unhurried mindful way. Renewed health, wellness, calm and a stronger sense of self (who you really are) might just be some of the benefits of this guided time in the natural world.
Be brave and try a new way of enjoying your time outside - the beauty of this journey is that it is yours to take, to explore and yours to revel in your newfound relationship with all the beings in nature. Wherever you are, I invite you to experience a guided Forest Therapy walk.
